Hello friends
Just a quick post to share a few bits and pieces from my day. But first, thank you to everyone who left such sweet comments on my post about our Pups. Many of you have furry members of the family too and really understand what I was expressing…your kind words were so good to hear.
Today it was a wonderful relief to mail off a special project…all the way to England! This is something I’ve been working on for a time now (because I admit I work very slowly – in stages) and can’t wait to share more details later in the summer!! Just a little hint, as you can see the secret number fits in this little rectangle box…
Working on little projects like these sometimes require having a bio picture on hand…and I have to say I’m just not happy with any I have. Anyone else out there dislike their pictures? Well, I happen to know quite a few of you who stop by my blog who are very photogenic, so you just don’t seem to have this problem! 🙂 I had to resort to asking my 9 year old son to take a few pictures for me…. and then my 18 month old joined in the photo shoot. 🙂
The highlight of my day today was meeting up with one of my best friends. I’m talking about a friend who goes back 20 years. Several years have gone by since we saw each other last which is such a shame. She was in town for her Mother in Law’s service so we couldn’t let this opportunity pass us by. There’s nothing like a talking about old times over a slice of cheesecake!
Now to bring this post back to JEWELRY, after all, that’s probably why you’re here…..
Remember way back when I mentioned that Richard Salley is coming to town? His workshop is getting very close! There is still 1, maybe 2 seats left in his Fabulous Found Objects Pendants workshop on May 24th. There are going to be so many great techniques covered in this class…think about joining us if there is any way you can come to the DC area! For more details, please visit the Workshops page on the fundametal’s site.

Sweet Cindy, stop fretting. You may not like to see pictures of yourself, but I think you are very photogenic!!!!! VERY! That secret project looks very intriguing…
Glad you were able to meet up with a friend from way back.
And I am gnashing my teeth that I can’t join you for Richard Salley’s workshop!!! You lucky, lucky girl! His work is just too fantastic and what would I give to see the master at work…
Have a wonderful day (after you get some sleep)!
yummmmm.. a secret?? even for your robinsisters… i cross my fingers for you!! it’s good to see old friends isn’t it!! you are beautiful Cindy!! lovely and kind..
Don’t worry dear Cindy, you are a really lovely woman, and as we say in french, “une très jolie fille” !
Love this type of secret, because i know you are going to reveale it in a few weeks, no ?
Cindy, I love that picture of you and your son! So sweet. I think you look terrific in the pictures I have seen of you, so quit worrying! 😀
Congrats on finishing the secret project! I know it’s a relief to have that sent off. Don’t you just love mailing addresses in the UK? The place names are just wonderful. 🙂
Cindy!!! That picture of you and Nathaniel is WONDERFUL!! It would make a perfect headshot! You are all about your family and what better way to express that than with one of your son’s in the photo with you. It really looks great, and so sincere, probably *because* he is with you. He took the edge off 🙂
I know the secret, I know the secret, and I am not telling… nah nah na boo boo.
Cindy, the packing for your secret project is SO pretty… I feel your pain with the bio picture, it’s so difficult to get a picture that you’re happy with:( but what a great picture of you and your little one. Can’t wait to hear about your project.
Beautiful pictures, you should not be bashful.
Cindy, I think all of the photos I’ve seen of you are lovely. But I do know what you mean. When I look at photos of myself I never think they look right. Ummm, I wonder if I can guess what might be in that little package.
I love that first picture with your little one! That would be a great bio shot, I think. Can’t wait to see your little surprise.
I so wish I could do the Richard Salley workshop..when I saw you guys had a couple seats left, I almost hit the button, but I have to save it up for later 🙂 Exciting!
so very excited to see a project going overseas! will be fun to get the rest of the news… ah, yes the bio pics – it has been known to stop me in my tracks… to be honest, i don’t have one… you are very photogenic – don’t be too hard on yourself! you should definitely the one with the baby – i know the others might be jealous though… so glad you caught up with a friend… and richard salley? wow! you and jeanette are on fire… have so much fun… what a packed post – loved it…
Dear Cindy…you are so very photogenic! Just like those boys! I am a slow but determined worker bee too. And I am so very excited to see what you reveal about this little jaunt this box is taking to jolly old England! I am so lime green with envy that you get to take a class with Richard Salley. I missed the opportunity to sign up for one that is being taught in WI… perhaps another time. Can’t wait to see what you learn. Enjoy the day! Erin
Cindy, I too dislike photos of myself! I think we are always more critical of ourselves! Your photos are always beautiful and you truly are photogenic, don’t be so hard on yourself! Now to the jewelry; I so wish I was able to take Richard Salley’s class! You lucky girl! I can’t wait to hear all about it!
Please tell your 9 year old that he is an excellent photographer. The photos are great!
I just love that special letterpress box you will be sending to England and I can only imagine what beauty sits inside. How exciting I can’t wait to learn more about it!
Cindy, you take the most beautiful pictures behind the camera and in front, the one with your little guy would be perfect to use.
I think your nine year old is a blooming photographer. That picture says so much about you. Just the look in your eyes and the smile on your face speaks so loudly. I think I might know your secret but don’t worry I won’t tell 😉
Lovely pics Cindy and a Precious family you have!
Aww Secrets are just wonderful!
