Colonial Williamsburg has always held such a charm for us. It’s fun to play tourist in our own state…and each time we pay the Williamsburg area a visit, like the tourists we encountered from CA and CO, we learn something new. I thought it might be nice to share some pictures, especially if you’ve never had the chance to visit this historical town. And for some of you, maybe this will bring back a few memories of your own. It was a walk down memory lane to times mentioned in the blog post here and here.
(These ginger cookies have been a favorite for well over 10 years…. they are so DRY, but for some reason we still love them!)
(ending our trip on a sweet note)

Hi Cindy, thanks for the refresh on Williamsburg. We spent quite a few summers in and around when my sister-in-law lived there. Love the area and it has been several years since our last visit. Hope to travel to those parts some day in the future!
Wow! These are some beautiful pictures! I have bittersweet memories of Williamsburg…I was married at the Wren Chapel at the College of William and Mary decades ago…unfortunatelu, the marriage did not last and I have not been back since. Itis so nice that you and your family take such awesome, almost local trips together! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you friend for taking us along…I love each and every picture. We have historic St. Augustine here in Florida in which I have never been and hope to visit soon but after seeeing all your lovely images I want to go right away and soak in that historic beauty.
xoxo Cat
Cindy your pictures are exquisite! You have such a gifted eye! I love the shots of the mugs, hats, baskets, and the magnolia! Have you unlocked the boys yet? 😀
It’s been a few years since we went to Williamsburg, the last time was for the grand illumination with the kids, guess we need to get back there again! Thanks for sharing these beautiful images!
Cat, St. Augustine is beautiful – we have been there twice with my brother and his family who live in FL. We always seem to pick the hottest day to visit though! You and the kids will love it there! My oldest son started his air plant collection with a plant he bought on our last trip.
You take the best pictures – it makes me want to go there NOW! These towns should pay you for promoting them so beautifully. Thanks for sharing your trip. Your boys are sooo cute!
What’s that lovely bling I see on your middle finger? 😉
LOVE the pictures Cindy…hope to get there some day!
Great GREAT photos, Cindy. I love Williamsburg and my kid almost went to William & Mary (but Middlebury won). I always wanted to go there at Christmas time because I hear it’s beautiful. And the peanut soup at one of those restaurants is so amazing! But I’ve never been to Jamestown. I wonder how I missed that. Now that we’re Californians, it’s unlikely that oversight will be fixed! Looks like you all had a great time!
Hey Cindy, now I am longing to make a visit to Williamsburg again soon. The fall would be a nice time to visit, not too hot. I hope Collin enjoyed his birthday weekend.
What gorgeous photos! I love traveling along virtually with you and your darling family. This sounds like a place I want to visit.
Have a wonderful weekend my friend!
I’m always interested in your travels, especially to these absolutely beautiful and historic towns by you! One day I hope I’ll be able to explore and enjoy like you and your family 🙂
Great pictures!!
Oh, and I’m excited to say I’m going to participate in the next bead soup event and I’m quite excited about it ^.^
I love how your travels often end with pie. 🙂
Awesome pictures! Williamsburg is a great spot!
Your photos are wonderful! You’re not using automatic at all anymore! I wish I had that skill. Lovely!
Cindy, I have visited here many times this last week to enjoy your pictures. I love history so would hope someday to travel here. Your little guy with the red hair is so darn cute! When I was young I had that color too…where or where did it go? Thanks so much for posting this I love it!
Your photos are beautiful, thank you so much for sharing! I have not been there, but I think I’ll put this on the bucket list for the near future.
